International Writing Centers Week (Scrawl S14 E05)

By February 16, 2016Scrawl Radio

Welcome back Scrawl Nation! This week, due to technical difficulties, we are unable to bring you a recording of Scrawl.  However, there was a broadcast of Scrawl.  James Niesen and Avery Cunningham, of the Writing Center Outreach team, came to discuss the upcoming International Writing Centers Week.

International Writing Centers week runs from Feb 14th to Feb 20th.  Upcoming events for the week include:

  • Tables at the LPC Student Center on Monday and Tuesday from 10 am to 12 pm and at the Loop DePaul Center 11th floor area on Wednesday and Thursday from 11 am to 1 pm. We will be asking passersby to mark a location on a world map that has impacted their writing, then write a brief testimonial explaining that impact. We will then post the pictures on our Twitter feed, and give away shirts or mugs to any participants.
  • Finally, there will be a Twitter chat session on Tuesday at 9 pm put on by the IWCA where they will be offering advice to new tutors, and more information is available here.

You can listen to Scrawl radio every Friday from 11am-noon on the Radio DePaul and through the Radio DePaul app.

Be sure to check the UCWbL out on FacebookTwitter, and Digication!
