National Poetry Month (Scrawl S15 E01)

Welcome back Scrawl Nation! For this episode of Scrawl, we delved into National Poetry Month.

Ryan and Kate welcomed a new Scrawl host, Brendan P., who will be appearing on Scrawl for the remainder of the quarter. They also discussed the Bermuda Triangle, conspiracy theories, and hiring at the Writing Center.

Later, Kate, Ryan, and Brendan welcomed James Neisen of the Writing Center’s Outreach team to discuss National Poetry Month and to read a poem by Robert Lowell.

Ryan and Kate discussed the Rhetoric of Pop: a moment during the show where a top hit on the Billboard Hot 100 is analyzed. This week featured Lukas Graham’s “7 Years.”
