Software for the Frustrated Writer

Like many writers, I have difficulty writing on my laptop because it’s way too easy to get distracted. If you’re not chatting with friends, you’re opening Twitter for a quick scan or checking out new blog posts – it can be impossible to get any work done. Luckily, there are some great programs for writers that streamline your desktop and help you create a non-distracting work environment. Although there are programs that simply block your internet for a set amount of time, others focus on creating an attractive and helpful workspace. Here are a few of the best, for when visiting the coffeehouse or listening to music just doesn’t cut it. Mac users can try Scrivener or Writeroom, while Windows users might check out Writemonkey.
