Ryan and Kate welcomed a new Scrawl host, Michele L., who will be appearing on Scrawl for the remainder of the quarter. They discussed the structure of working within a writing group and shared a clip of poet, Jen Finstrom, reading her work.
Michele, Ryan, and Kate later discussed a particular type of writing group, Writers Guild, and the process of submitting work, attending meetings, and the overall environment.
Ryan and Kate discussed the Rhetoric of Pop: a moment during the show where a top hit on the Billboard Hot 100 is analyzed. This week featured Meghan Trainor’s “No.”
