On this week’s episode we talked about how the collaborative process can help facilitate a unique type of creativity. To discuss the process of songwriting, we brought in local pop band, The Janitor and The Bum, which features Scrawl host Kevin and his friend Christian. We learned that songwriting, like other types of writing, works best when writers listen to, trust, and share with each other. During the band’s live performance of their song, “Modes of Emotions”, Christian spontaneously pulled an empty wine bottle out of his bag and handed it to Tommy to spark a truly collaborative music experience.
